Reddit's Karma algo is automated. If you have low Karma, it's because someone doesn't think your posts are all that great. It could be a bury brigade, or it could be that they just think your submissions are weak. 2. Reddit is staunchly user-driven in the sense that they don't interfere. 3. Grrlscientist is a pretty good blogger. She probably has high Karma because even though she's submitting her own stuff, it's getting voted up anyway. What's the harm in that? 4.
