You are such a crybaby. Write a bunch of pieces that anyone cares about and then complain. otherwise, shut the hell up!

    1. Reddit’s Karma algo is automated. If you have low Karma, it’s because someone doesn’t think your posts are all that great. It could be a bury brigade, or it could be that they just think your submissions are weak.

    2. Reddit doesn’t filter for self-promotion the way Digg does–that’s because Digg is so big they manually filter for spam using some pretty sophisitcated data visualization tools. Reddit is staunchly user-driven in the sense that they don’t interfere.

    3. Grrlscientist is a pretty good blogger. I’ve seen her stuff blow up on Digg *and* Reddit, which means that lots of other people like her work, too. She probably has high Karma because even though she’s submitting her own stuff, it’s getting voted up anyway. What’s the harm in that?

    4. If there is some kind of anti-scientificblogging.com cabal, then that sucks. But I doubt it. I know the Sciencebloggers, and I can’t imagine them doing anything so petty.

    5. Talk to the hand ;0)
